Skyrim talk:Albino Spider

(Redirected from Dragonborn talk:Albino Spider)

Merge/SplitEdit

I would like to create a Dragonborn:Spiders page with seven sections (level 2 headers) and their appropriate subsections/details, as listed below:

  • Albino Spider
  • Flame Spiders
    • Flame Cloaked Spider
    • Jumping Flame Spider
    • Exploding Flame Spider
  • Frost Spiders
    • Frost Cloaked Spider
    • Jumping Frost Spider
    • Exploding Frost Spider
  • Poison Spiders
    • Poison Cloaked Spider
    • Jumping Poison Spider
    • Exploding Poison Spider
  • Shock Spiders
    • Shock Cloaked Spider
    • Jumping Shock Spider
    • Exploding Shock Spider
  • Mind Control Spider
  • Oil Spider

This page would list stats and details on the spiders as creatures, and each of the individual types listed above would redirect there. The exploding variants and mind control spiders only exist as items, so limited information would be detailed on them on this page.

Also, I would like to create separate pages/redirects for the items (appear in the Scrolls menu in-game) which can be made at the "imbuing chamber" device in White Ridge Barrow, as these are separate from the creatures and should be documented (similar to Skyrim:Scrolls). If no on opposes these changes, I'll move forward to reorganize this information as noted above in the near future. Please provide any input you have on the proposed changes-- I would love help on the project, particularly in regards to the data side of things.

I'll be updating this discussion with more once I have a decent version of what I'm wanting in a sandbox, but for now feel free to add any input or concerns you have regarding this! — ABCface 18:48, 14 January 2013 (GMT)

Okay, I've got a sandbox set up here with the layout I'm wanting for this merged creature page. It's still a WIP, but I just wanted to give an update in case anyone wanted to look it over and add their input. I'm particularly unsure of how to handle the Mind Control Spider, since it only exists as an item and not a creature- should I add a separate section for it on the page, or just add a note for it linking to the appropriate item page?
Anyway, if no one opposes this merge within the next two days, I'll go ahead and make the change. I'm also going to be creating a page at Dragonborn:Scrolls which I will sandbox later tonight. All the item versions of the spiders will be documented on that page, and I'll created redirects for each of those as needed. — ABCface 17:52, 19 January 2013 (GMT)
I definitely agree with the creation of a scrolls section to list all of the spider options and a merging of the various spider pages. As for the mind control spider: I wish I still had access to my game to go back and check but I could have sworn that in one of the caves that I explored in Solstheim, there was a secret room where I found a few live reavers who had the mind control spiders attached to them. While there's a chance this could just be the result of my imagination, usually my memory is pretty good. These Mind Control Spiders would count as creatures, I believe. --BlackhawkXIII (talk) 19:47, 20 January 2013 (GMT)
In White Ridge Barrow, there are four bandits with albino spiders trapped in a room, and those spiders are on their shoulders. They are the ones used in the experiments of Merilar Rendas, as noted in the journal of her brother, Servos Rendas. I'm guessing this is the place you're thinking of. The Spider Scrolls page has now been created, and I'll be merging the spider pages tomorrow (as well as updating all redirects). I decided to leave the Mind Control Spider info as just a note on that page, with a link to the Spider Scrolls page. — ABCface 20:08, 20 January 2013 (GMT)

() I've gone ahead and merged the pages, creating/changing some redirects and disambigs as well. I've got to do some real-life stuff for a little bit, but the major changes should be in place at this point. I'll come back later to make sure all the appropriate links and whatnot are updated. — ABCface 17:22, 21 January 2013 (GMT)

Return to "Albino Spider" page.
