Bloodmoon talk:Erich the Unworthy

Oblivion ReferenceEdit

(moved from the article)
He is one of the targets referenced by the Night Mother from a prayer if you are the listener in the Dark Brotherhood. He makes no physical apppearance in Oblivion, however. It is said a prayer was made to the Lucky Old Lady for his death. This death was probably a prayer by the Udyrfrykte but cannot be confirmed.

Gaebrial put a VN tag on the above but I've taken the section out. Whilst Oblivion can indeed ask for the death of "a male Nord named Erich" in "the mead hall known as Thirsk, on the Nord isle of Solstheim" during the Whispers of Death quest, the two parts are generated randomly. You can just as easily get that name for someone in Valenwood or Elsweyr. –RpehTCE 04:07, 27 February 2008 (EST)

Reference to a 1993 video game ?Edit

There was an adventure game in 1993 called "Eric the Unready". It disappeared from memories, but was quite popular back then (Was Adventure Game of the Year). I believe "Erich the Unworthy" might be a reference.

UnpopularEdit

Does anyone else think it's worth noting the general view the residents of Thirsk have for Erich? Before his death they speak ill of him and warn you to keep away, and if you happen to kill him many of them seem relieved to see him gone. I wouldn't think this is significant if it weren't for the fact that so many NPC's share this opinion and even acknowledge his passing in dialogue. I think it would fit right in with the information about his anger and aggression towards the player.
