Cultists are necromancers encountered during the quest Pool of Despair. They are weak to poison damage, with there being six in total. Three of them will speak to you first before attacking, but the other three will attack on sight.

The first cultist you encounter when approached will say:
- "You..."
- Me?
- "...will be the next sacrifice!"
They will then attack.

Another cultist is encountered after you speak to Malanwen:
- "You! Help us!"
- Why are you doing this?
- "We must! Will you help?"
- No.
- "Then you will die!"
- I can help you get out of here.
- "No! You must die!"

The final cultist that will speak to you is the leader at the end of the cave. She can be distinguished by her Chaurus Helmet.
- "A vengeful being has come to inhibit progress."
- That's me. Will you stop or will I have to kill you?
- "Combat will determine this."
- What are you doing?
- "We require sacrifice. We require rot and decay. You will be the next to transcend to pestilence."
