Hill the Cook works on board The Heron's Tail in Bravil Docks

Hill the Cook is a Nord commoner who lives and works aboard The Heron's Tail, a ship moored in the Bravil Docks. As his name suggests, he is the ship's cook.

Being the ship's cook is a busy job. Hill rises early - at 5am - and eats breakfast by himself before preparing it for the crew. At 7am, he makes a trip to a different shop every weekday:

Wherever he goes, he spends the next five hours there, picking up food or goods as appropriate, then returns to the ship to work in the galley. On the weekends, he remains aboard the ship all day. He eats dinner at 8pm for two hours and then retires to his bunk.

Hill wears a baker's apron, sailor's britches, and sack cloth sandals. He carries an iron dagger for cutting up vegetables, and has a chunk of beef and some Chorrol Double Cream cheese.

Hill has a small cabin in the fore end of the hold, which is accessed via a trap door in the galley. He shares the space with two large water casks, but there's enough room for his bunk and a set of shelves for his possessions.

If you run into him when he is mid-deck on the Heron's Tail, he'll greet you and offer some food: "Hey, I haven't seen you around here before! Are you new to the crew? Oh well, doesn't bother me... you hungry? Sit down, I'll cook something up..." If you ask what he's making, he'll display a rather warped sense of humour (or maybe he's serious - who can tell?): "Ohh, one of my favourites; Offal stew! First, I take the brains of a deer, and I put them in a pot, where I then add the kidneys of a rabbit, and then boil it all together with the blood of an ox, and then I -" If you decide to pass on it, he reacts with surprise: "What? Why? It's a perfectly good meal! Makes you strong! Staves off seasickness too... Makes you sick now, so you don't get sick later! BWAHAHAHA!"

Hill has nothing special to say if you speak to him when he is shopping.
