WelcomeEdit

Hello Draevan13! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:

When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our Patrollers really appreciate it!).

Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox and don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors if you need any help. Have fun! –Eshetalk 04:43, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

BackboneEdit

Please don't add this note to Lore:Planes of Oblivion again. That note isn't included due to the only source of Malacath's realms backbone being an actual backbone comes from an rambling, insane god. Due to it's source, we have no reason to believe that this is true. If a more reliable source came up at a later date this note can be re-added, but until that time comes that note will stay off that page. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 17:12, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Rpeh has already explained why he deleted the note on the talk page, too. Kitkat xxx TalkContribE-mail 17:15, 12 September 2011 (UTC)

Fine, but everything else Sheogorath says turns out to be true. Just saying. Also, I never said that is was a fact, just said "according to Sheogorath." I'm sure that I can find hundreds of other pages with similarly unreliable sources.

I'd like to point out that Sheogorath also claims to have filled a pit with clowns, and that clouds taste of butter and tears. This comment was made in the same style. Sheogorath is crazy. Crazy. Craaaaaaazy. Good evening. SkoomaManiac 01:56, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
Yet his info is just as unreliable as the in-game books from where the information about the Realms came from: what are the author's sources? Can they be confirmed? No. We have no way of verifying what the Ashpit is really like, nor any other realm of Oblivion save Dagon's, Peryite's and Boethia's. All we know about the Realms is pure speculation. Don't see why this speculation is forbidden.— Unsigned comment by Draevan13 (talkcontribs) at 21:20 on 25 September 2011
Sheogorath is a raving madman. There's no comparison between him and reliable sources. Kitkat xxx TalkContribE-mail 20:53, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
I really have no opinion on the matter, but saying "According to Sheogorath..." does not necessarily mean it is true. It's just stating what he said (therefore, the "reliable source" argument is invalid). Elliot (talk) 21:01, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
"According to the Prince Of Madness, a confirmed lunatic..." really doesn't sound so great though. Kitkat xxx TalkContribE-mail 21:06, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
You're not stating it as a matter of fact, just for comparison. It's not a big deal... Elliot (talk) 22:12, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

Odd, he was spot-on every time he gave me info and directions. He may have rambled crazily, but he was always correct. Besides, who better to give you info on the Realms than one of the people who created them? And how do we know clouds don't taste like butter and tears XD (Draevan13 22:23, 25 September 2011 (UTC))

lol it's so true! how do we know that the authors of "On Oblivion" or "The Waters of Oblivion" aren't just making it all up as they go along? so we're supposed to accept information about Oblivion from unknown, unreliable sources, but reject information from known, reliable sources! i know that Sheogorath is nuts, but i don't remember him ever lying to us. he is omnipotent, maybe he did make a pit of clowns :P (JamesR 22:56, 25 September 2011 (UTC))
