Daedric TextEdit

Hey! I just removed some of the stuff you put on Daedric text because, as far as I can tell, this information hasn't been officially released yet and thus breaks the NDA. If this is incorrect, could you provide a link to an article that describes these things, I can readd it to the page. Thanks! Jeancey (talk) 16:36, 7 May 2017 (UTC)

Old OrcishEdit

Hello, regarding this edit, where is this "correct" text from? What was there already is directly, and recently, copied from the texts that you see during the quest. Does the new version show up at a later point in the game after you finish the quest? ~ Alarra (talkcontribs) 14:14, 7 September 2017 (UTC)

Hi! The text that was there before is indeed in the game, although it's still incorrect. The text that was there was from the tiles found in Sorrow, which are part of the quest; but the last tile of those features the incorrect text. Half of it is a copy of the text of the second part, namely "Jur ugo sim ren tum Torug beshkar". The correct text is found in Torug ag Krazak, which can be read after completing the quest. You can clearly tell that the translation doesn't add up with the Orcish text if you read the old pre-edit text. Aran Anumarile Autaracu Alatasel (talk) 15:42, 7 September 2017 (UTC)
Ah, I wasn't aware that one existed. Thanks! :) ~ Alarra (talkcontribs) 02:09, 8 September 2017 (UTC)

Too fast!Edit

I was furiously checking NPC dialogues because I was sure I had heard that line on the Alduin page. I finally found it on cslist only to see you beat me to fixing it by a few minutes! Nice job! :D --Jimeee (talk) 08:50, 13 September 2017 (UTC)

All those hours in Skyrim didn't count for nothing. ;) Aran Anumarile Autaracu Alatasel (talk) 08:54, 13 September 2017 (UTC)

SilatarEdit

Aranias did indeed create the entire island of Silatar, per the quest The Witch of Silatar:

"Why are your clothes all wet?"—Indrathel
"Mother! What do you think of this tree? How about the island you're standing on?"—Aranias
"The ground is soaked. I will need new shoes now."
"I made it!"
"What? You made the ground soggy?"
"The island. I made this little island!…These trees, those rocks, none of this was here yesterday. The ground is wet because I used my magic to pull it up from under the water."
"Oh, Ars. What have you done?"

I've therefore reverted both your lore page edits regarding this. —Legoless (talk) 13:07, 16 September 2017 (UTC)

That is actually incorrect. They're not talking about Silatar, they're talking about a small island that Aranias raised out of a pond on Silatar. Redo the quest, or watch a playthrough of it on YouTube. It's pretty clear that they're talking about that, and not Silatar (note the "little island" in the quote). Silatar is where Aranias grew up, it existed before her (I'm pretty sure that she says that she has never left the island). If she had created the entire island of Silatar, her parents' reaction would surely have been quite different. Aran Anumarile Autaracu Alatasel (talk) 13:42, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
I see what you mean, but looking at the island map you will note that the area they're standing on is not an island - it's connected to the rest of the landmass. Similarly, the loading screen for Silatar describes it as being magical: "This offshore island feels like it's from another, better world. It radiates an almost palpable aura of magicka. It's wonderful … and somehow very, very wrong."
If you can provide a quote that definitively proves that the island is older than her, then I would of course have to concede. However, all the evidence I'm seeing points to the entire island being artificial. As this matter is under discussion, please don't revert as that can lead to edit warring. —Legoless (talk) 13:53, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
Quest Frighten the Fearsome
Where are you originally from?
"Me? I was born and raised in the Summerset Isles, on a rather small island known as Silatar. It's a pretty secluded place.
Growing up there was what first sparked my interest in studying nature magic, but ... well, it was very lonely." Tib (talk) 14:08, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
Thank you Tib! That was what I was looking for. Aran Anumarile Autaracu Alatasel (talk) 14:17, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
Unless you have any further doubts, I'm reverting your reversions, Legoless. Aran Anumarile Autaracu Alatasel (talk) 15:19, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
Sounds good to me, thanks Tib! —Legoless (talk) 13:11, 17 September 2017 (UTC)

Investigator ValeEdit

Ah darn. It was the Investigator vale and the temple of Stendarr book that Stibbons was reading? , wasnt it? Timeoin (talk) 08:52, 8 October 2017 (UTC)

Indeed it was. That book isn't actually in the game (yet). Aran Anumarile Autaracu Alatasel (talk) 09:34, 8 October 2017 (UTC)
In my defence ... Stibbons was talking about said book, there was an Investigator Vale book, and well, I mistakenly said they were one and the same. (I feel like Investigator Vale is a reference to something, too, but I have no idea what series). Timeoin (talk) 09:37, 8 October 2017 (UTC)

Sload appendagesEdit

Hey, I noticed you removed the section on the Sload page about their fingers conforming to the contours of an object to grasp things. Just thought you should know, that is partly explained in the PGE; the Wild Regions, under the liabilities section of the sload: "Poor grasping ability, weak tool use. [Sload slowly adapt their outer integument to conform with surfaces and objects, permitting them to pick things up or climb things like disgusting slugs.]". With this information, given that the sload in concept art (and N'gasta) have four fingers, I think the thing you removed wasn't necessarily an unsourced claim but an extrapolation based on the information we have; sload flesh forms around objects to grasp things, and sload have four fingers. — Unsigned comment by 81.109.3.63 (talk) at 10:42 on 26 July 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing that out! I've added a section based on the information in PGE1, but not readded the removed section as I feel it is a bit too speculative considering the limited information in the source. —Aran Anumarile Autaracu Alatasel (talk) 11:39, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
