You need to take a look at thisEdit

There is a Skyrim Wikia and they are copy and pasting entire articles from this site. http://skyrim.wikia.com/wiki/Morrowind It's our article on Morrowind word for word. Manbearpig 17:57, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

I've cleaned up most of the copied content (almost all the rest is lifted from the PGE, for which they probably don't have permission). I'll keep an eye on it from now on. rpeh •TCE 19:06, 1 January 2011 (UTC)

Happy Birthday!!Edit

:D have a good one. KrazorM 19:49, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

Happy Birthday, GK! Again! ;) --Krusty 19:53, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
Happy birthday again!. Today you have TWO reasons to lie around doing nothing and let everyone else wait on you :) rpeh •TCE 20:46, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

Here you go, Payback. Enjoy. --Wizy 13 Jan 2011
Happy Birthday!--Ghurhak gro-Demril or TAOYes? 22:43, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, everyone! By the by, one of my birthday gifts: going to pick up the Feb issue of Game Informer!  :P --GKtalk2me 22:53, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

Automatically protecting transcluded pagesEdit

I seem to remember you playing with this feature and/or something similar a while ago, as I remember being your unprivileged guinea pig to see if it worked. I don't really remember the details very well at all, though. If you remember more than I do, can you add to this discussion. Robin Hoodtalk 20:55, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

HEY! WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA!Edit

>.< It helps to actually READ the article, you apparently don't know anything about Fanfiction article, 'Kay?

1. It was an empty link, because it was a work in progress. 2.I was going to get started on it tomorrow, but I got online. & 3. If you don't know anything about a certain section, ask someone first, before deletion. :/. It wasn't very nice, 'Kay? Shianni 03:05, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

When it says Discontinued to the right, that is when it is capable of being deleted! >.< Geez! You've been here for 4 years and you didn't know that? :o Shianni 03:09, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

As I said in the edit summary, you shouldn't link to the story until it actually exists. If you'll "actually READ the article", it says right at the top, "While logged in, follow the link at the top of the page, to the left of "my talk", to your user page. In the address bar, add to the end of the URL /My_Fanfiction to create a story titled "My Fanfiction". When your story has been written, return to this page and add a link to your story in the appropriate section." Thanks for the ever-so-polite questioning of my actions though. Really appreciate that. --GKtalk2me 03:22, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Oh? So where does it say you are authorized to delete an edit that says "Work in progress"? And your sarcasm is pointless and unnesecary. :/. And if you fully read my first response. I was going to start on it tomorrow.
Thanks, so much. (: Shianni 03:29, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Once again, it says it on General:Fanfiction, the fifth sentence on the page: "When your story has been written, return to this page and add a link to your story in the appropriate section." You did not do this, since the story was not yet written when you added the link. I'm not sure why it's such a big deal; you can still work on the story and add the link once it's written. I can't identify the cause of your hostility. --GKtalk2me 03:37, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Ok, 3 things wrong with that statement. LISTEN, CAREFULLY.
1. It does not say immediate deletion, ANYWHERE. (: Caught up? Good.
2.Does it not take time to write an article? About an hour or 2? My curfew is 11:00.
3. I'm not hostile, lol. If you read my previos edits, I'm a very perky and fun girl. Understand? :D Good. (: Shianni 03:43, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
So, now that that is over, I think I'll re-post my wrongfully deleted link. (: Shianni 03:52, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Perhaps you misunderstand. I did not delete your story. I deleted the link to it. The link does not have to exist for you to write the story. For the final time, the process is explained very clearly at the top of General:Fanfiction. The link should not be added to the fanfiction article until the story has been written and the page saved. I'm not sure why you're not understanding that. It's really quite simple: write the story, save the page, then add the link to the fanfiction article. --GKtalk2me 03:55, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Re-read statement 2. (: Lol! You really don't understand. It's like talking to a shoe string. :/. Shianni 03:58, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

() I'm sorry, but that has nothing to do with it. You obviously aren't understanding something, so I'll attempt to explain it again. Yes, it takes time to write the article, but you add the link to General:Fanfiction after you finish writing the story, not before. Let me know if you still have any questions, please. --GKtalk2me 04:02, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Well, it's kind of hard to edit a deleted article link, thanks. :D Shianni 04:07, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I had a feeling that might be what you were thinking, which is why I quoted the blurb from General:Fanfiction earlier. Read it carefully again: "While logged in, follow the link at the top of the page, to the left of "my talk", to your user page. In the address bar, add to the end of the URL /My_Fanfiction to create a story titled "My Fanfiction"." You don't need the link to create/edit the article/story. If you still don't understand, let me know, and I'll try to walk you through it one step at a time. --GKtalk2me 04:11, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Well, GEE. I read your link about indentation. And...at the top it says it is in fact....NOT A POLICY it's not part of the rules. :) Anything else I can indeed set straight?
I apologize; I've obviously failed helping you to understand. Perhaps someone else can explain it better than I. I ask you, though, to refrain from adding the link to General:Fanfiction. I assure you, it should not be added until the story actually exists, so that there's not a red-link on the page. Once again, sorry I couldn't help you to adequately understand the procedure. I hope someone else can. --GKtalk2me 04:21, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
Yes, yes. Run along and annoy some other editor with your invalid suggestions. It's surprising who they make administrator. :/. Well, have fun being you. :D Shianni 04:25, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
I think my IQ has dropped a few points just by reading this...I offer my condolences. --DKong27 Talk Cont 04:34, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

() How about this Shianni, you write you fan-fiction story in word or whatever writing program you have, then when you have finished the story, edit the fan-fiction page to add your currently non-existant link (which would be something like up as say [[User:Shianni/Whatever_you_want_to_name_your_story|Shianni's story]]), click show preview, click on the new red link, add your story into the currently blank page, do whatever formatting or whatever you need to do. Then when the new page is created go into your other tab that shows the fan-fiction page that you are still editing, and then save your work there. This is the only other way to create a page if you are unwilling to do what GuildKnight told you to. If you are unwilling to do either of these things their is absolutely nothing that anyone here can do to help you.

Also do not try to tell the admins how to do their jobs. It'll always end badly for you. --Alpha Kenny Buddy 06:35, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Rpeh for Admin!Edit

Rpeh, (through my ability of persuasion) has decided to become an admin. But, under 2 conditions. 1. Everyone, (including you, Guildy.) accepts Rpeh as an Admin. And 2. He wants some time to think about it. :D Counting on your Approval vote. Shianni 18:33, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

PoliciesEdit

I noticed your edit at the Userpatroller page. Shouldn't changes in policies first be discussed at the talk page? --Rigas Papadopoulos • TalkDeeds 20:38, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

That seemed more like a typo/oversight to me than a policy change. The way the sentence was worded, it's clear that the two periods of time should be the same. Feel free to bring it up elsewhere if you disagree, though. --GKtalk2me 20:55, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
(e/c)If you read the whole paragraph, I think it's clear this was fixing an existing discrepancy rather than actually changing policy. rpeh •TCE 20:56, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Also, just to clarify, the words I corrected for consistency were not related to the comments I made on Shianni's talk page. The wording of the policy that affects her was not changed at all, only the wording that would affect a current UP that was blocked. Just wanted to point that out, in case it appeared that I changed something and then tried to use it against someone. --GKtalk2me 20:59, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

MentorEdit

I would like to ask you to please be my mentor for this wiki.--Iamgoofball 05:35, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

I'd love to; however, you'd likely get more help from another of our mentors at this time, since I'll be having a baby on Saturday. I'm not likely to be very active and/or available for help over the next few weeks! Good luck, and if I do notice any questions I'll do my best to help you out. --GKtalk2me 15:03, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

Congrats!Edit

I just saw your various Facebook updates. Your daughter is absolutely beautiful! Congratulations! Robin Hoodtalk 03:15, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Congrats again! Now start her off on minor edits like spelling fixes, move on to bigger things like fact checking and using the CS, and she'll be ready to help out when Skyrim is released :) rpeh •TCE 10:58, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
Congratulations GK! She looks beautiful :) --SerCenKing Talk 11:10, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
You have been given a Sweetcake!

Congratulations!

--Ghurhak gro-Demril or TAOYes? 20:50, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, y'all; I think she's the most perfect thing I've ever seen, too!  :) --GKtalk2me 01:23, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Telvanni AgentsEdit

I apologize for pawning this off on you but this is too much. There has been periodic lapse in judgement on this page and it's talk page. Originally I came to the Telvanni Agents page to add some new information I thought it would help the article at the time. Then my edit was reverted by user Brf. Then I reverted his edit and citing my disagreement with his edit in the edit summary. He reverted my edit accusing me of putting incorrect information and a edit war broke out.

The reason for my stubborn stance behind it was I thought I was right about my edit at the time. During the edit war no one came and spoke directly to me on my talk page. Instead a threatening ban message was first left on my user home page and then moved to my talk page. I did try to communicate with user Brf, but in response to his threatening ban message I did add an insult. Everyone was then brought to the Telvanni Agents talk page to work out the concerning details with the edit. I was in the process of gathering more evidence to support my new proposed revision. While I was on this page following up on a lead to help support my new revision, Brf stalked me there and told me what I can or cannot do in this wiki. Then I presented my current proof to support my claim and explanation for my actions. User rpeh claims I made an insult, singled me out as the main perpetrator and threaten with a block from editing on my talk page. Even the history pages for all the pages involved will support the time line. I wanted to bring this all to your attention to have some sort of oversight or I'm saying, here this is what's going on with the editors on this wiki. The unjust claim made against me for adding false information along with all this could of been avoided if someone came to talk to me, simply look at my very first edit, or look at the Etiquette page. Rpen and Brf been here longer, I'm just the newbie. I wasn't looking to make a event, I was just looking to make some helpful Morrowind edits. "Always Assume Good Faith. If you don't understand what someone else was trying to do, assume they were doing it with the intention of improving the article. Be careful not to mistakenly label an inexperienced user's efforts as vandalism, as this can be very offensive to someone who was just trying to help." --Rent A Troop 11:10, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Rent A Troop, what you need to understand is that Rpeh and I are Patrollers. It is our job to make sure that the info being added to this wiki is correct. What you did was to repeatedly add incorrect info which you never even checked yourself first, even after we told you that it was incorrect. --Brf 12:21, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
If patrollers revert edits like that, they know what they're doing. Best thing was to put your info on the talk page first, so it could be discussed before the whole edit war. It's re-adding dubious (and proved to be false after all) information, clogging up the history page, and then calling people morons that makes you look really bad. If you're new here, best thing to do is take the careful road, which is putting your info on the talk page. If you want to help out the site, you have to travel a road to build up respect and trust (heh I sound like that guy from GTA2). And eventually, you'll get the hang of things, at least that's how I've experienced it. Well it should all be cleared up now, so it's best to just move on, these things happen ~ Dwarfmp 13:45, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
Rent A Troop, I claimed you insulted Brf because you did. Here you called him a hypocrite in the edit summary; here you said he didn't know what he was doing, and in this post you called him "inept". rpeh •TCE 14:13, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

youEdit

To be honest I only did it to see how much I have to do! I will apply later. Thanks though. JackTurbo95 09:58, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Add Podcast to Skyrim Resource ListingEdit

At the bottom of the Skyrim page, you have the Bethesda podcast listed. I'm Tsora, one of the authors of the weekly Skyrim Podcast. Could you post a link to our podcast in iTunes? As far as we know, we are the only podcast dedicated to Skyrim.

Here is the link, take a look and listen:
