Skyrim talk:Olava the Feeble

Schedule?Edit

when does she come out her home and where does she go? — Unsigned comment by 76.211.143.72 (talk) at 08:53 on 5 January 2012

She sleeps from midnight to 8am, then sits on her porch from 9am. At any time during the day, she may decide to head to the Bannered Mare for 5-6 hours. At 3pm on tirdas and turdas, she will spend time with Ysolda in the market. --Krusty 09:07, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Bug or Scripted?Edit

So I went to Whiterun and dropped a few things to clear up some weight (Don't have a house at this time) and after I drop everything I don't want, she runs up and takes one Corundum Ore and one Tattered Journal. I looked in her inventory and yeah, they are not there? I'm going to reload and recreate my drop to see if she does it again... Okay so she literally came running to my location (Just behind her house) and took another Corundum Ore, but not the Tattered Journal (From Embershard Mine). She ran up and said: "I think you accidentally mislaid this, dear. Here you go.".

So I tried dropping the stuff by the well in the market area. Lillith Maiden-Loom ran over instead and took the Corundum Ore, said the same stuff, and it was returned to my inventory. That was pretty nice of her. However, Olava the Feeble does not return things. This makes me wonder if she is bugged; She won't return items she picks up off the ground. 4:59 PM 5, Jan 2012 (CST).

That is supposed to happen, it was talked about before the game was released that NPCs might steal or return things that were dropped. Apparantly they may also fight over who gets to keep it. This has unfortunately happened to me too.RIM 23:02, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Olava the Feeble BugEdit

On PS3, if you break into her house and try to talk to her about the prophecy reading for the Ancient Shrouded Armour, she'll tell you to leave. After that moment, no matter how long you wait she will never leave her house. Any solutions to this? — Unsigned comment by 27.32.125.83 (talk) at 03:01 on 16 January 2012

This bug confirmed on 360 also (post 1.4 patch)— Unsigned comment by 86.148.196.92 (talk) at 23:53 on 10 February 2012 (UTC)
There is a workaround. If you broke in, have her become hostile, then leave her house. She'll follow you out. Then attack her until she yields. Since she's marked essential, she won't die. When she comes to, speak to her with weapons sheathed, and she will proceed normally. Confirmed to work on PS3, post 1.4 patch. — Unsigned comment by 70.138.83.116 (talk) on 20 March 2012
the work around to get olava the feeble out of her house does not work she wont follow me out she getts hostile but will not leave her house i dont know what to do any suggestions — Unsigned comment by 24.111.215.62 (talk) on 14 April 2012
If you use the player.placeatme to spawn a NEW olava when you're outside the problem will be solved... just don't go back inside her house, you might see double. — Unsigned comment by 58.111.197.171 (talk) at 08:14 on 26 June 2012

My name is Georgia. I tried every fix for PS4 for 6 months for this reading. Then I got it by mistake. Tell Lydia to stay put... Then go to Lakeview Manor that was my home. Wait and wait until Lydia turns up, like you'd lost her. Then return to white run after getting Lydia to re follow you. Go into the pub... And the old hag is inside!!

Fixed by Unofficial Oblivion Patch?Edit

How is it possible that things in Skyrim is fixed by the Unofficial Oblivion Patch? --Aurora u 13:44, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

the slow time shoutEdit

i found the assassin of old and took his gear, but at hag's end im also supposed to get the slow time shout i found the dragon wall and stood in the middle of it (where u usually stand to get the dragon shout) but nothing happens?? i dont get the shout, why is that? — Unsigned comment by 84.86.56.180 (talk) at 13:05 on 1 February 2012

This bug is mentioned at the Hag's End page. I'm not sure if there's a workaround for non-PC users, though you may want to check on that page or its Talk page. Alphabetface 00:06, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

Moved from articleEdit

Yep, I know that this has been discussed above, but I still feel that it belongs here - because if you break into an NPCs house and get caught, you are bound to get into trouble (and the solutions are pretty common knowledge by now). The other bug is simply a one-of.

  • She will sometimes lock herself inside her home for an indefinite time. If this happens, you will not be able to talk to her since she thinks you are trespassing.
    • A workaround would be to get her to attack you and lead her outside, then yield by sheathing your weapon.
    • Another workaround would be to enter and then exit her house, save your game and exit to the menu (or go to the dashboard of whichever console you are using) and load the save. She should walk out right after the load (assuming you did all of this around a time that she normally goes outside that is).
    • Waiting outside her house between 6pm to 9pm will sometimes make her appear by the door, giving you a few moments to speak with her before she enters the house.
  • Sometimes she will spawn underground.
    • This can be fixed by loading an earlier save.
