Skyrim talk:Fortify Lockpicking

Is there a cap?Edit

For someone with lockpicking skill at 100 but no perk spent in lockpicking, is there any benefit to wearing gears with additional fortify lockpicking enchantment (post patch 1.3)? (ZekunD 09:55, 21 January 2012 (UTC))

It seems additional fortify enchantments are still useful. I tried it on PS3/patch 1.3 with skill 97, no perk, 1988100096% fortify lockpicking gear (using glitch). The minigame for all locked chests even master level ones starts with the lockpick in the right position, so that there is no need to pick but to turn and open. (ZekunD 19:50, 28 January 2012 (UTC))
Not only does the pick start in the right position, but it will open the lock at any position. I used the restoration potion exploit to make a ring with +73131 to lockpicking, and I can start picking a master lock with the pick pointing as far to one side as possible, and the lock will open just the same if I spin the pick around to the complete opposite side. Particularly handy when you get sick of the lockpicking interface. WhackyGordon 19:56, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
I see. That means high enough skill fortification causes the sweet spot to become wide enough to cover the whole area. (ZekunD 06:03, 29 January 2012 (UTC))

mod for lockpick bonus bug ?Edit

is there a mod to fixe " inverse lockpick bonus "  ?

What "inverse lockpick bonus"? Haven't heard of, or even noticed this in-game. Vyc Ðarkshådøw 03:04, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
