Anyone else having problems since Patch 1.4?

All of my courier letters now read:

"To our respectable investor,

It seems that the expedition to"

Possible that it is another glitch but I never got map updates from those letters anyway. RIM 20:06, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

Yes it did tell me the location but I can't remember getting any updates for my map. RIM 21:18, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

This problem was originally reported by me during the 1.4.21 beta (prior to the release of that version). It continues to be a problem in 1.4.27. As I understand it, it only manifests if you acquire the letter under one version of the game and attempt to read it under another. This is how Gstaff described it and how he justified the official support line on this particular issue of "loading an earlier save prior to picking up the courier's letter." I would provide a link to the thread where he stated this, but it is in the beta forum which is closed when there are no active betas.Kastagir 01:27, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
