Prerequisite QuestEdit

To Walk on Far Shores is not a prerequisite quest. My active Alliance story quest was The Parley when I started Council of the Five Companions at Level 47. When I returned from the Harborage after finishing Council of the Five Companions, Vanus Galerion appeared at the entrance to Evermore and requested to speak to me. At the same time, Messages Across Tamriel (Objective: Talk to Vanus Galerion) was initiated. When I walked past him without starting a conversation, he told me to meet him in Wayrest, where he's now waiting near the wayshrine. --Holomay (talk) 21:06, 15 May 2015 (GMT)

That's really irritating. One thing I never thought to check for was other ways that Messages could start. Luckily I have a couple of characters that are nearly there that I was using for similar tests. So the only difference between now and the other day is completion of Council? OK, I think I have it. Either you complete the Alliance Story's last quest, or this will start once you hit 45 if you've already done Council. As soon as I hit 45, this appeared. Then I went to a different place and God of Schemes popped right up as well. What I do want to check, which I can do with this character, is whether Cadwell's Silver starts if I don't complete Messages. --Enodoc (talk) 20:30, 18 May 2015 (GMT)
