Questionable ContractEdit

Before starting the quest, she'll only say:

"Oh, hello! This mead is delicious. Did you know that bees made drinks? I didn't either."

If you started the quest through any of the villagers excluding the treethane:

"Hmm … it feels like I've been waiting for Pircalmo for some time now. What … what day is it?"

After speaking to Treethane Ranneth, she'll say:

"This really is the most delightful brew. Being a pact-hostage is turning out to be very pleasant, really!"
Ranneth has some concerns about Pircalmo. She suggested I talk to you. / Ranneth has some concerns about Pircalmo, and suggested I talk to you.
"Oh silly Pircalmo. Yes, yes. He's taking his time. Don't worry, he's getting it just right. I bet he's just forgotten some ritual components. Or the ritual itself, he did that once. Silly Pircalmo."
Do you think he needs some help, then?
"I bet he'd appreciate any help you'd be willing to give. Pircalmo is a kind, gentle soul. Didn't help him at all in the Guild, but it makes me love him all the more."
Aren't you frightened?
"Oh, no no no. Not at all. Ranneth has been a dear to me, and Pircalmo told me all about this hostage thing. He says it's just a formality, that I don't have anything to worry about. So I'm not!"

After speaking to Pircalmo, if you speak to Alanya again, she'll remark:

"Hmm … it feels like I've been waiting for Pircalmo for some time now. What … what day is it?"

In the final stages after Pircalmo fails the contract, Alanya will be tressed up on a stone table:

"What's going on? Where's Pircalmo? Where's my husband?"

Speak to Ranneth and she'll free the elf:

"Ranneth untied me? That means Pircalmo is safe, right? He did nothing wrong?"

In Ranneth's ante room, you'll hear:

Treethane Ranneth: "Master Pircalmo, Lady Alanya. Please accept my apology."
Pircalmo: "Um, don't worry! I thought it was my fault too!"
Alanya Softpetals: "… What he means to say is, these sorts of misunderstandings happen. We're not the type to hold a grudge."
Pircalmo: "Right. Yes. That. That's what I meant."
Treethane Ranneth: "I'd like to extend you a more permanent offer here. We could use someone with your diligence and knowledge."
Pircalmo: "I don't really follow. I don't want to put Alanya at—"
Alanya Softpetals: "Dear, she's offering you a job. You'd be the town mage."
Pircalmo: "Really? I mean, yes! Absolutely. Uh, if it's all right with you, dear."
Alanya Softpetals: "I think I'd quite like that. No more stone tables, though, Ranneth."
Treethane Ranneth: "It would be our honor to have you both here."

Speak to Alanya and she'll say:

"I'd probably be a stew if it hadn't been for you. Thank you."

After the quest, she'll say:

"After we talked through our little misunderstanding, Ranneth and I agreed that Pircalmo would make a good town mage. I quite like it here! The mead … so delicious!"

The Fires of DuneEdit

If you helped Pircalmo before starting The Fires of Dune, he'll be in Dune along with his wife and the treethane. She'll only remark:

"Dune and Willowgrove wouldn't be the same without your help, my friend."
