Detailed WalkthroughEdit
As you explore Vvardenfell, you may come across the town of Molag Mar. Here, on a dock, you will come across Filer Pix. Speak to them, and they will explain that the Infinite Archive is under attack and needs assistance defeating the invaders.
- "Let's see. Limbs, mouth, clothes...yes, you're a mortal. One moment, he had me remember something. Ahem.
Brave adventurer, the Infinite Archive requires your aid. Reality warps in its halls and I, Master Malkhest, cannot defend them alone." - What's the Infinite Archive?
- "Master Malkhest thought you'd ask that. He said-
It is a near-infinite vault of books, letters, and records. It hold accounts of what has passed and what may never come to be. Currently, it is besieged by an enemy with unknown motives." - You don't know what your enemies want?
- "Uh, Master Malkhest didn't anticipate that question. Look, monsters of ink are jumping out of books and attacking us.
Filer Myx is waiting in the Infinite Archive. Master Malkhest gave him something for the mortal. A reward of some sort." - All right. I'll go find Filer Myx in the Infinite Archive.
Make your way to the Infinite Archive either through the portal provided, or entering the arena on the northern reaches of Apocrypha. Speak Filer Myx, who will explain the situation further.
- "Wait, you're not made of ink. Hmm, you're a mortal. Master Malkhest sent Filer Pix to find one.
Is that you? Did I get it right? Are you a mortal who's here to help?" - Filer Pix told me to talk to you
- "The archive is in some danger right now, but you don't seem like a weakling.
I mean, mortals are strong. You're capable, and bright.... [sic]Can I give you a reward for coming all this way and we forget about my calling you a weakling?" - Yes, I'll take the reward.
- "Right. Good. Good. Then maybe you'll still hope. And I won't have insulted our last hope. It's fine!
Here. I'm told you mortals find this valuable."
