DB questEdit

i went into the tavern doing the DB quest to kill the dark elf and she walked in and the bodygard guy from one of the first DB quests stood up and whacked her into a wall and killed her? why? what? i dont get why it happened! please help Saigemasterarrow 21:24, 16 May 2008 (EDT)

It may be possible he was attacking you, look at the Gromm's page-Puddle 21:27, 16 May 2008 (EDT)
no he was not attacking me, he didnt know i killed his master, i was not in any harm in there, when she walked in gromm attacked HER no one else, not me, she wasent attacking me no one was attacking me, gromm just killed her! 24.150.92.115 13:59, 17 May 2008 (EDT)
This happened to me too. I was in the middle of the DB quests, and randomly walked into "Olav's Tap and Tack" in Bruma around 6pm, and Alga walked in a couple of seconds after me. Gromm immediately attacked her and killed her. I reloaded the game and watchd it again; this time Alga managed to run out of the inn and onto the street. The guards took care of Gromm first, and then killed Alga also. This is rather strange! But Alga respawns, so it doesn't make a huge difference. Anyone have an idea why this happens? 58.152.139.221 02:53, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
I had the same experience. I think they just don't like each other lol.64.121.17.250 12:30, 8 October 2011 (UTC)

No sleepEdit

Everytime when I'm inside their house, Alga does not sleep from midnight til 6am. However, when I enter their house at 3am she's fast asleep. It has probably something to do with me being there, but she does not tell me to leave. She does follow me around the house. I wonder: is this standard NPC behavior or is Alga an exception? Wolok gro-Barok 09:12, 22 June 2009 (EDT)

It happens sometimes. In this case, it's because Alga offers training, and as a result is a "follower". You'll notice, that she follows you around the house, always keeping an eye at you - like most merchants do. As long as you don't leave the cell she will keep doing this forever (or at least past her bedtime), and you'll have to exit and enter the house every full hour to check her sleeping time. That's why merchants and trainers are so hard to do in-game - they will skip everything else and just follow you around. I'll bet she also skips her meals if you're inside the house with her. I had no idea that could influence anything. Thanks for helping me out, again! Wolok gro-Barok 09:27, 22 June 2009 (EDT)
I can confirm this too, i was waiting for her to go to bed so i could steal her fire salts, and she just watched me like a hawk! Very unnerving! Brain 21:48, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
This is because of a "Continue when PC is near" flag checked. --Arch-Mage Matt Did I Do That? 21:50, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
This happpened to me as well, the following part that is. This is what happened, I picked the lock to her house, and when I was inside she had her back to me. So I used my Ghostwalk spell and went upstairs. As I looked around a room, I found nothing I needed so I turned around, and there was Alga. I left the room thinking she wandered up there, so I left the room and she followed me. The only thing is that I was Invisible the whole time, she never saw when I was visible.~~Argonian8 10:55PM Mar, 15/2011

BurglarEdit

I went to rob the Bruma stores at night and i saw her just standing outside novaroma i talked to her, she didnt move so, being a kahjiit i used eye of fear and she ran, i then unlocked the door (with the key i recover when the owners wife perished in a olavs tap and tack fight and just as i was leaving she walked in, startled me. apparently if you unlock novaroma she'll go inside occasionally. can anyone else verify this? SneakyPenguin77 (also my Gamertag) 00:24, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

Well, looking at Alga's page it states: At any time when not eating or sleeping she may decide to take a trip to Novaroma or Nord Winds or just stand around outside Arnora's house. But she obviously can't enter the building at night because it's locked then and she doesn't have the required key. When you unlock it, she'll enter. She should be asleep at that time, though, according to her schedule. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 09:59, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
She is in possession of a weird random package (as mentioned on her page) which makes her take unmotivated trips to Novorama and other places, and it is merely impossible to explain when she will take those trips. I have never seen her do it at night, but my guess is that you arrived by night (or used the wait feature) which can sometimes make NPCs do really odd things - especially the NPCs with random schedules. DB targetEdit

Wouldn't Alga be the perfect target for the bark brotherhood, since she respawns?--Arch-Mage Matt 00:33, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

She indeed respawns so you wouldn't miss out on anything if you kill her, and there are enough opportunities to silently kill with her husband being away most of the time. I'll add her to the Dark Brotherhood targets. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 07:18, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
Actually, having thought about it, I don't think she's good enough a target. It's harder to catch her alone than at first sight, and cause she's a trainer she always knows you are there, even when invisible. Therefore you can't really silently kill her. If anyone thinks she does warrant a mention on the Dark Brotherhood, go ahead. Talk Wolok gro-Barok Contributions 07:37, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Well, for a skilled enough assassin, and someone with a bit of clever-ness, i think she makes a well enough target. i'll add her.--Arch-Mage Matt 21:09, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Respawn TimeEdit

I just have a question. How long does it take for Alga to respawn? Argonian8 11:14PM Mar, 15/2011

Generally it is 73 hours without entering the cell she will respawn in. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 03:19, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
Return to "Alga" page.
