Lode is a small unmarked mine north of Cheydinhal containing skeletons. It contains only one zone, Lode.

NotesEdit

  • Some of the Skeleton Miners inside are attacking the iron ore veins, making it look like they are mining them.

ExteriorEdit

  • The exterior is located at coordinates: Tamriel 29, 30
  • The following plants can be found near the entrance: 8 Clouded Funnel Cap plants and 2 Motherwort plants

LodeEdit

The entrance is directly opposite Hammer Mill on the other side of the creek. When you enter the Lode, you will find yourself in a dark passageway covered in spider webs, which leads straight ahead past a rail on your right where trolleys are transporting the mined ore to the mill. Directly after that, you will encounter a hostile Skeleton Miner attacking you with a pickaxe, and there's a crate you can loot as well. Continue your way through the following tunnels, first left and then right, until you arrive at a three-way junction where you have to defeat another Skeleton Miner. The tunnel to the northwest leads to an elevator that can take you to the lower levels of the Lode and is operated by a skeleton named Liftboy Joe, whose eyes are made of bright blue gems. If you take the tunnel right before the elevator door, leading to the northeast, you'll arrive in a small room containing two iron ore veins, from which you can extract Iron Nuggets.

Make your way back to the three-way junction you encountered earlier and go through the remaining tunnel that leads down to the lower parts of the Lode. After the first right-turn, you can loot two crates and some Cairn Bolete in the passage room and continue your way further down to arrive at another junction inhabited by another Skeleton Miner; this time there's also two other possible ways to continue, but first loot the stacked crates there and pick up the Repair Hammer lying on top of them. The southeastern tunnel takes you up and then down again to another junction. From there, the northwestern path leads towards a slightly larger room inhabited by a Skeleton Miner with two iron ore veins and some crates. Following the remaining tunnel southeast takes you to another Skeleton Miner that must be defeated, as well as an iron ore vein and a crate that can be looted. This section is a deadend since the way further down is flooded and collapsed.

Returning to the three-way junction with the stacked crates further up, follow the southwestern tunnel (where the candle hangs from the ceiling) to another junction. The southwestern tunnel leads to a small room containing a single iron ore vein, and next to it lies a skeleton and some mead; the other way takes you further down to yet another junction, with a lamp standing on a crate. If you continue northwest and go up, you'll arrive at two additional iron ore veins; the other route to the southwest leads you even further down, where the tunnel splits yet again. Continuing northwest, you'll find yourself in a large room with long wooden planks and crates lying around and two more iron ore veins that you can loot. Back at the junction, the southwestern passage leads past the elevator that can take you up to the higher levels again and ends in the last undiscovered room inside the Lode, containing a Skeleton Miner, an iron ore vein, and another crate.
