Detailed WalkthroughsEdit

Finding Reeh-JahEdit

Southwest of Tel Fyr, northwest of the Erabenimsun Camp, also northwest from the Maren Ancestral Tomb, standing just south of a lake of lava, you will find the lone Reeh-Jah, a runaway Argonian slave who wants to go home. Though he initially may not talk about his situation, he will loosen up once his disposition is 50. Reeh-Jah is heading towards the Argonian Mission in Ebonheart in hopes to escape out of Morrowind.

The "Good" PathEdit

If you wish to aid the slave, merely escort him to the Mission in Ebonheart. It is a long distance and you might like to take a boat ride from Sadrith Mora to Ebonheart or maybe a silt strider from Molag Mar to Vivec and from there, a boat to Ebonheart. If you are far enough in the main quest, you can try to bring him to Holamayan; from there you can take a boat directly to Ebonheart.

The "Evil" PathEdit

If you have a mean streak, you can return the slave to his owner, Savile Imayn at the Tel Aruhn Slave Market. Since you are in the middle of nowhere, the only sensible option is to reach Tel Aruhn on foot; it's a moderate walk/swim to the northeast.

RewardsEdit

If you escort the slave to Ebonheart you'll receive a reward of a Blood Belt and ten points of Twin Lamps faction reputation once you introduce the slave to Im-Kilaya.

If, on the other hand, you take the slave to Tel Aruhn you'll receive 150 gold, or only 50 if he died on the way there. If you take this route you will lose ten points of Twin Lamps faction reputation. If you talk to Im-Kilaya after completing the "evil" path, you find out what happened to Ree-Jah after you turned him in: he was flogged until the skin was flayed from his back, then he was healed and the process repeated. You lose five more points of Twin Lamps reputation, Im-Kilaya's disposition drops by 10 and his fight increases by 20.

NotesEdit

  • In some of the unpatched versions after killing Reeh-Jah you can talk to his slave owner again and again about him and continuously receive 50 gold.
  • There are a couple of illegible pages from Brief History of the Empire lying on the ground next to the place where you first find Reeh-Jah. These lay out a path leading to an outcast Ashlander Wise Woman's yurt; part of the Rescue Jocien Ancois quest for the Imperial Legion.
  • If you bring Reeh-Jah to Tel Aruhn and get the journal entry, but do not turn him in, you can still bring him to the Argonian Mission, but you can not ask Im-Kilaya about him.
  • You may want to do this quest early on, as the creatures you meet in the Ashlands at higher levels can easily kill Reeh-Jah, and he has no qualms about trying to take on an Ogrim with his bare hands.
  • You may be unable to start this quest if either Savile Imayn or Im-Kilaya are dead.

Index Finishes Quest Journal Entry
10 South of Tel Aruhn, I encountered an Argonian in the wilderness. He seemed frightened, and looked to be in bad shape.
20 It turns out the Argonian, Reeh-Ja, is an escaped slave from the market in Tel Aruhn. He's been on the run for a number of days, and fears for his life, for good reason. He tells me that he wants to get to the Argonian Mission in Ebonheart; he believes that they can help him.
30 I have decided to try to escort this runaway to the Argonian Mission in Ebonheart. To leave him out here would certainly mean his death.
35 The stupid slave has chosen the wrong person in whom to confide. There will certainly be a reward from the slave trader in Tel Aruhn for this one's return. Reeh-Ja fears me, and will follow without question. My only concern is that he will flee if I am forced into battle.
36 Finishes quest  I've decided to leave the slave to find his own way home. I don't wish to become a part of this battle.
90 Reeh-Ja is dead. It seems his dreams of freedom have come true, but not how he expected.
97 I have arrived at the Argonian Mission with Reeh-Jah.
100 Finishes quest  Though it was a long journey, I was able to deliver Reeh-Ja to Im-Kilaya at the Argonian Mission in Ebonheart. Im-Kilaya was grateful, and rewarded me for my efforts.
103 I've arrived at the Tel Aruhn slave market with Reeh-Jah.
105 Finishes quest  I was able to bring the slave Reeh-Ja to Tel Aruhn, and turn him over to Savile Imayn, the slave trader. As I expected, she was happy to get one of her slaves back--not only is it her merchandise, but it serves to tell the others that there is no true chance of escape. And, as I assumed, there was a reward for the fool.
120 Finishes quest  I've brought news of Reeh-Ja's death to Savile Imayn. His death pleased her, as it serves as an example to the others. Escape equals death.
130 Finishes quest  I spoke with Im-Kilaya at the Argonian Mission in Ebonheart. He was saddened at the death of Reeh-Ja, but was happy to hear he died a free man. He gave me thanks and hoped I would continue to help slaves to their freedom.
140 Finishes quest  I attempted to speak with Im-Kilaya at the Argonian Mission in Ebonheart. He had heard about me bringing the slave back to Tel Aruhn. I am not welcome in the Mission.
