DutiesEdit
Faral Retheran in the Redoran Treasury in Vivec's Redoran canton will ask you to convince Rothis Nethan to fight a duel that he has chickened out of. Rothis is found at the Flowers of Gold cornerclub, also in the Redoran Canton. You will need to talk to Retheran about duel before the option to talk about it appears on Rothis.
Rothis NethanEdit
When you speak with Rothis Nethan, he will beg to not duel with his opponent, Brethas Deras, who is a well known fighter. In order to persuade Rothis, you'll have to bring him 10 standard restore health potions as well as raise his Disposition above 50. You can buy the potions from various merchants in the city, as homemade potions won't work. Rothis will suggest that you get the potions from Relms Gilvilo at the Redoran Temple Shrine, located on the bottom floor of the Redoran Waistworks. Give the potions to Rothis and he will ask you to go to the Arena and watch the duel.
Return to Retheran once the duel is finished to complete the quest.
NotesEdit
- Aside from the winner's dialogue, it makes no difference who wins the duel. Rothis is very likely to lose, even with his potions. You can cause him to win in various ways, from buffing him with magic to directly attacking Brethas. You can also do the reverse if you feel so inclined. Either way, no bounty will be incurred, no one will remark on the honour or lack thereof, and the quest progress will not be affected.
