Sload is the language spoken by the eponymous Sload and Sea Sload.[1] It is a guttural tongue, understood by Yaghra both spoken and telepathically.[2] Observations of the tongue and the race as a whole by Bendu Olo in the First Era concluded that Sload has no written form.[3] However, by the Second Era, an obscure text written by the infamous Sload necromancer N'Gasta had surfaced.[4]
There is no word in Sload for 'adventure'. The closest equivalent translates to 'tragic disaster'.[3] The Sload word for the Tangerine Dragon Frogs translates to 'snacks'.[1]
