Morella the Cruel
Race Breton Gender Female
"By her manner and her impeccable outfit, I knew she was Morella the Cruel." —Valinka Stoneheaver[1]

Morella the Cruel was a Breton, and one of the most infamous thieves during the turbulent times of the Three Banners War in the Interregnum of the Second Era.[1][2]

HistoryEdit

Narsis Dren, her rival

Little is known about Morella's background or affiliations. She was described as a taller-than-average Breton woman who dressed elegantly. She was known for her rivalry with the explorer and author Narsis Dren. During her search for the ruins of Bthunzel, she came into conflict with the hireling craftswoman and author Valinka Stoneheaver who knew the location of the ruins. Initially, Morella attempted to extort the location of the ruins from Valinka by kidnapping one of Valinka's companions. However, this scheme proved unsuccessful and Valinka managed to escape. Later, Karamel Little-Leaf stole Valinka's map to the Bthunzel ruins. While it initially appeared that she was cooperating with Morella, it became evident that Little-Leaf was actually working with Narsis Dren, her rival. In a surprising turn of events, Narsis Dren himself intervened in the situation. He swiftly dealt with Morella the Cruel, delivering a decisive blow to her head, and Little-Leaf took care of her thugs. The exact fate of Morella remains unknown, but she was defeated.

Driven by a desire for recognition, some aspiring thieves proclaimed their intent to transcend the allure of gold. Their goal was nothing short of becoming the most celebrated thieves in all of Tamriel, surpassing even the infamous Morella the Cruel.[2]

One of Narsis Dren's expeditions included an incident with Morella the Cruel and Mephala cultists, but specific details remain unknown.[3]
