Ancestor Glades are secluded places scattered across Tamriel. Canticle Trees, which attract Ancestor Moths, are known to grow in Ancestor Glades. Due to the presence of Ancestor Moths and the Canticle Tree sap's magical properties, the Ritual of the Ancestor Moth is typically performed by the Moth Priests of the Cult of the Ancestor Moth at these locations.[1][2]
One of the known Ancestor Glades was found in the region of Pine Forest, high in the Jerall Mountains within the Falkreath Hold. It was located southeast of Falkreath's capital, and was the only Ancestor Glade in the entire province of Skyrim.[1][2]
Little is known of fauna and flora of every individual Ancestor Glade, except for the presence of canticle trees and ancestor moths.[2] The Ancestor Glade of Falkreath, however was also known for its rich ecosystem, different from anywhere else in Skyrim,[3] consisting of blue, red, yellow, and purple mountain flowers, dragon's tongues, hanging moss, lavender, and tundra cotton. Spriggan earth mothers were also known to inhabit this glade.[4] Waters of the glade were also home to several rare fish species such as angelfish, pygmy sunfish, and spadefish.[4][5]

In 4E 201, the Last Dragonborn, together with Dexion Evicus and Serana performed the ritual with three Elder Scrolls to reveal the location of Auriel's Bow in an effort to stop the fulfillment of the Tyranny of the Sun prophecy.[1] It was secluded, and was not visited by men, mer or betmer for centuries before their arrival.[3]
