Skyrim talk:Tel Mithryn (settlement)

(Redirected from Dragonborn talk:Tel Mithryn (settlement))

CityEdit

Why is Tel Mithryn classed as a city? It's got only a handful of NPC's and buildings. 86.166.219.40 20:29, 16 December 2012 (GMT)

There's more to determining a city than the amount of buildings and NPCs present. From what I see, I am happy with it being described as a city, especially as it's not the main description, it's a secondary one, the main being that it is a Telvanni Tower. Actually, I've wondered why we have this described this way myself. Looking through the page history, an anonymous user labeled it as such in this edit, and the very next edit changed the map icon back, but not the description. I'm changing the description back as well now, as there's no reason in-game to call it a city. If there's something in game-data to support it being referred to as a city, such as a keyword, then we should change it back or note that somewhere. But labeling it as a city isn't accurate, and it will only serve to mislead and confuse users. — ABCface 23:03, 16 December 2012 (GMT)

Multiple quest targetsEdit

When I'm in Tel Mythrin, sometimes I will see two separate exit quest targets. Is there an alternate entrance somewhere? — Unsigned comment by Romandoug (talkcontribs) at 06:39 on 21 December 2012‎

SplitEdit

I think Dragonborn:Tel Mithryn ought to be a disambiguation page, with two separate pages for the house and settlement. As it stands, this page includes information for the kitchen, steward's house, etc. but those are part of the settlement. Neloth's house, which is called Tel Mithryn is part of the settlement, but should have its own page. So, my suggestion to split this is:

  • Dragonborn:Tel Mithryn — disambig
  • Dragonborn:Tel Mithryn (settlement)
  • Dragonborn:Tel Mithryn (building/home/house)

I'm not sure which word works best as a suffix for Neloth's home, I could go any way on that one. Some people might think that home or house implies player home, but that would be my only concern with that. But we list "Home" as the type for many NPC houses in the game, so I'm not sure that's really an issue (plus the disambig could specify whose home, and of course the page will note it in the initial description). Thoughts? — ABCface 23:29, 1 January 2013 (GMT)

I'd go with house. All NPC houses are in the Homes category, with the only non-player owned house in the Houses category was/is the Abandoned House. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 23:49, 1 January 2013 (GMT)
Tomorrow will be a week since adding the Split tag with no opposition. Just a notification that I will make the change discussed above within the next 24 hours. — ABCface 20:44, 7 January 2013 (GMT)

Neloth's Black Book radiant questEdit

When you've completed the DB questline, Neloth will give you a radiant quest to go find a Black Book. You find the book, read it, bring it back to him and he makes a copy and gives you money. I can't find this quest documented on the wiki; it should be a related quest for this settlement if it's been documented. --Morrolan (talk) 04:29, 6 August 2013 (GMT)

Is this the one you're referring to? I've gone ahead and added it to this page. I think that should be all of them now. — ABCface 05:14, 6 August 2013 (GMT)
Yep, that was the one. I couldn't remember what it was called and I was looking for it here. --Morrolan (talk) 13:21, 6 August 2013 (GMT)
Return to "Tel Mithryn (settlement)" page.
