Olivia's Diary
A journal of Olivia Valerius' daily life.

(Scattered, partially destroyed, blacked out records)

15 Morning Star
I went to see Elendar again today. brought him nightshade and some money to buy ingredients. It's so interesting to watch his experiments. Tsavi is in vain to dissuade me. I am not afraid of anything. Manius has provided me with good amulets of protection.

25 Morning Star
All day yesterday we were preparing gifts for the children. Manius, as always, bought the girls new dresses. And I brought from Elendar two amulets of his work. One for good luck and one for protection from disease. Tsavi checked (well, I’m not quite a fool, to give unverified amulets to children, even from a good friend) and says that they are worth at least a hundred septims. The husband said nothing, he checked the accounts all evening. Ha! I still have a few hundred of my own money left, and my uncle regularly sends two or three hundred a month.

4 Sun's Dawn
Why was Elendar looking at me like that? I do not understand. I decided that something was wrong with the clothes, but everything was in order. And Tsavi left at the wrong time. She never leaves that quickly.

20 Rain's Hand
That bastard fell in love with me! Oh, what a scoundrel he is! And Tsavi revealed it to me. After all, she knew. Well, thank you, friend! I read his diary, so deliberately thrown on the table that I don't even doubt for a second - she threw it on purpose. One word is Altmer. What love at his age! He looks good though. And well built ...

22 Rain's Hand
Should I tell Manius or not? I am flattered by Elendar's love, but I feel nothing for him at all. I used to consider him a friend and colleague. Even a teacher. He's angry that I don't answer him. I pretend I can't see anything. Let him be angry.

3 Second Seed
I wonder what is there with the remains in the tomb of the Invels? Today we were to try to explore their tomb, protected by the spell of Elendar. He gave me a vial of ointments made on Auridon. What a wonderful smell.

13 Second Seed
I told Manius and the fool was jealous. Yes, so furious, so sublime. It was like a scene from a play. He really is a fool! Stubborn, old, fat fool! So what should I do now? I collected a bag with personal belongings, I will take something from the box but where am I going with this "dowry"?

19 Second Seed
It's good that the girls have grown up. Their mother ... Hope that the Altmer will accept me! After my husband kicked me out. If someone told me such a story, I would have laughed until I fell and said that this stupid coward should do it! Thank Dibella that Manius loves me. And I love him. Even now. No, you need to go to rest from such adventures. I'm not a girl anymore.

(large spot of dried blood)

Stupid coward! I will definitely send her to wash footcloths to legionnaires and poo

23 Second Seed
Borgunna nearly cut off my finger. How scared she was! And how scared I was! I yelled at her. I almost hit her. I wanted to complain to Manius. It's good that I didn't. Especially now. Her situation is both shifting and dire at the same time. I don't think Gunnar will actually be hanged. We must talk to my husband, let him intercede before the count. Count Marius still sees my husband as an old comrade in arms. I hope Manius's word will be enough.

24 Second Seed
I was very ill. I even passed out for a few minutes. Fortunately nobody saw. Whatever you do, you can't show such weakness in public. You have to keep your face like Elendar. After all, I understood everything. That's why he drove me back to my husband. But how cleverly he hides his feelings. I thought he was going to kill me. No. Only kicked out. I even came up with a reason. Like, the poor man is also afraid. Could he kill me? I think yes. He's a necromancer. But you shouldn't tell anyone about it.

26 Second Seed
I felt bad again. This time I didn’t faint. But such a pain in my chest that I almost screamed.

27 Second Seed
Tsavi again brought a note from Elendar. I threw it into the fireplace. How tired I am of all this.

27 Second Seed
I almost fell off the stairs. These are all Altmeri ointments. What a disgusting abomination! They smell awful. I threw away the bottle. It may be the last time, too, because of these ointments? Tell Borgunna to find and bury. Or throw them into the water.

28 Second Seed
I must finish reading the letter from Ida. How bad I feel. Lay in bed all day, locked up. I don't want to see anyone. Nauseous and a terrible headache. It's hard even to write and (page is torn off)
